Hair algae host?

So I've been hoping my clowns would go to one of my corals since I don't have an anemone. One of them hung out in my Xenia for a couple days, but after doing a blackout for a few days to get rid of my cyano (which reappeared), it seems like the only thing they'll go to is a patch of hair algae. Anyone else have this happen?

I gave up on my old tank for about a month and got hair algae about 4 inches long on my glass. It flowed in waves with the current and my false percula would swim in it constantly. She was totally ****ed when I finally cleaned the glass.
