Hair algae on sand

Take the as much algae out by hand.. leave the rest to the cuc.. get some trochus snails.. use gfo.. keep phosphates low by feeding less and doing more water changes.. you should be fine.. I wouldn't worry worry about hair algae.. just food source for herbivores fish..

Do you test for nitrates and phosphates?
In general diatoms/algae,etc... should be accepted/tolerated on a new tank as part of the oh so normal "ugly stages" but in general they will pass on their own provided you keep up with proper tank maintenance and keep your nutrient levels low to avoid excessively feeding the algae.
Algae issues can be fueled by either nitrates or phosphates (or both) so keeping track of those can be important. Sometimes old rock can also have phosphate bound up in it that may require some additional attention to take care of..
But from the pictures it looks to me just like the totally normal/acceptable ugly stages of a new tank that typically does just pass on its own.. Keep up with a normal water change schedule of something like 20% every 2 weeks and you usually do just fine..
Knowing those N&P results though can help indicate when extra measures may need to be taken

I agree with all the posts above. Dont worry about it. It will pass if you keep your nitrate and phosphate in check. Nothing good happens fast in this hobby. Chaeto in the sump can help absorb some of the nutrients the algae is living on. Your sand sifter should keep it from taking root. The lawnmower will cut off the rest.

N gonna do a diy reactor scrubbed soon , i hope thats work too

I don't have any build pics..but it was super easy.. a knitting screen all roughed up.. air line with holes in it for bubbles and water flow.. and a led grow light off amazon...
And a cardboard box to make the reflector and house the led..
I was growing hair algae by the lbs every week...but recently bryopsis has spoken over the screen..and that stuff grows faster than gha.. and knock on wood... both my 90 display and 49 gallon fuge are 98 percent algae free... I just had some calderpa sprout and start growing in the fuge out of no where.. I've never had it in my system before.. I wonder if the tangs and rabbit fish will eat it..hmmm
