Anyone have a good way to get rid of green hair algae? I have a sudden outbreak. I bought a kole tang but he doesn't seem to touch it. thanks.

sea hares are the best. if I can find my guys you can swing over & rent them for $7/hr, better workers than Mexican

turbo snails

Kole's like diatom films. For hair algae you need one of the Zebrosoma sp. tangs like a yellow tang. If it's bryopsis, go for the sea hare as little else will eat bryopsis.

My seahair is lent out right now... you can have him if they are done with hum. His name is Sluggy :P

I don't know how bad it is but a foxface or rabbitfish will eat the stuff unless it is bryopsis like Bill said. The only thing I had that ate bryopsis was the lettuce nudi's. The only problem with them is they like to go over the overflows

Yeah, thats exactly why i went with 4 drains in my overflow just in case i get dumb little critters. Should i take a pic of the algae so you guys can identify it for me?

You can just order one from the link i sent you. It wold be coming from New Rochelle so shipping is cheap!
