Hairy Mushroom

I have been trying to frag some hairy mushrooms, I have one that I've cut, and now it's in a plastic container with some CC chips, it's been in the cup for about 2 weeks now, it healed and attached to a piece of the CC, I attempted to attach it to my live rock today, I glued the CC to the rock and as soon as I got the rock back in place, it let go and was drifting around the tank, I put it back in the container with the CC, any advice for round 2 of attaching it to the LR?

You can rubberband it to a piece of live rock rubble, eventually it will attach itself to it and you can place it on the rockwork or glue it on, or let the foot attach itself to some sand on a cup and then try to glue it again.

I do exactly this too.

I put the little one back in the cup for a few days and it re-attached to a piece of crushed coral, I glued the CC to the rock where I wanted him and he's been doing great there now for a few days. Success at last

Now I have another mushroom that has split, looks like the 2 are moving away from each other a little, when they split, is this because they are doing good and reproducing, or is it a matter of survival, My nitrates are a little high, but that's another project
