Haitian Condy

Can anybody help me with this nem species? I bought it with my clean up crew to meet the minimum order requirements. My lighting is not very bright at the moment and I only have a single source of flow. I am building an HP LED display for the tank, and new pumps and overflow systems will be on the next paycheck. That said, this thing looks great which confuses me. I had to move my mushroom coral up off the floor of the aquarium so it could get more light and water flow, so it now sits a couple inches above my Condy which hasn't moved from it's perch halfway up the tank since it arrived a week ago. I expected this thing to be searching the tank for the right conditions till the new gear arrived, but it seems completely happy in low flow/low light conditions, is this normal for this type of anemone?

During many dives in the Caribbean, I have found Condy's anywhere from just below low tide down to about 60', in water that is crystal clear and water with very poor visibility. Many moons ago, I had one in a 55g that was lit with 2 x 48" NO T12 daylight bulbs and it did just fine. I would guess that the better the conditions, the happier it will be, but they seem to be fairly tolerant of less than perfect conditions.

Okay good to know, conditions will definitely improve as I get the rest of the equipment in place and running. But he seems pretty happy for now.

They are pretty tolerant and are now a protected species in Florida and normal saltwater fishing license does NOT allow you to collect them. So enjoy the one you have. Good luck.
