I'm about half way through building a sump for my 150g future reef tank. My original plan was to do a skimming chamber, refugium, media rack (mainly for polishing pads,) then the return chamber. But I snagged a Vertex Zeolite Reactor, and decided to give it a go. Problem is, even with sticking it in the return chamber with the pump, I am now running into a space issue.
Ideally, I want to make the skimming chamber 10", so as to have room for future upgrades. So now I don't think that I'll have room for a refugium; or it would be so small, as to probably be pointless. I'm attaching some photos, and would love some advice. Oh, and pardon the mess in my garage, house is getting remodeled. lol
Should I ditch the fuge, and just have an extra large skimming chamber? Make a small fuge, with whatever available space I have? Or use the remaining space to make some 1.5" spaced baffles, to stick MarinePure ceramic plates in?
Thanks in advance!
