Halichores wrasse in sand

I introduced a halichores wrasse in my 90 g reef last week and initially it was being picked on so it burrowed in the sand. I'm just concerned about it going hungry. Should I leave it how it is?? I know it's alive since I've noticed the sand moving where it has burrowed.

Leave it alone, it will eventually come out. Although your bigger concern is figuring out who is picking on him and what you are going to do to difuse it. What fish were picking on him?

I usually add the fish at night with the lights off and if that doesnt help I add a mirror to the side of the display. This directs the aggressor attention towards its own image as oppossed to the new inhabitant.
