For my new 135g cube ( 36x36x24 high), I will be using a single 250w halide in a Luminarc III reflector. This reef will be a mixed reef, including mainly LPS, along with a few SPS and a few Softies. From my research, the 250w should be sufficeint for all three types of coral.
My question is, what would be a good bulb to run in the Luminarc III that would be a suffincent mix of Blue and White? what is a good ballast to run?
I have been thinking about going with a couple of T5's to supplument the halide. These will go in an open top canopy, along with thwe halide. What is a good retrofit of T5's? DO you think I will need T5's?
