Halide to Radion acclimation?

I am getting a Radion gen 2 today and wanna know what the brain trust feels would be the best way to transition. Going feom a 150 DE 14K on my 34 Solana. Currently run for 7 hours but will be ramping up to 8-9 for the summer months.

Also anyone know the specific difference between Gen 2 and 3 besides design, what is different with the light

I went from 400 watt mh to gen twos almost a year ago. If I were you I would use the acclamation mode and start at 30% and work your way up to 50-60%. I think it only increases 5% a week.

Gen 3 has ultraviolet and the 2does not.

Yep UV is the key with LEDs now

and only the 3 Pro has it so dont cheap out and just get the 3 if you plan to upgrade your pucks

I already bought the Gen 2, just need to fab a mounting bracket so it will hover on my rimless.

UV as in 390nm or UV violet as in 420 Nm?

I would work on increasing the Blues with the whites off and then eventually slowly like 1 % a week add white. Too much LED white can bleach SPS corals quickly.

I am going with 60% intensity with a 50% reduction on a 4 week acclimation schedule. Sound good?

Decided on 80% intensity, 6 week acclimation starting at 35%. Some corals have better PE while others have less particularly the birdsnest. Any thoughts the only thing that has changed was the light.
