Halides and center bracing

I am designing a frag tank and would like to hang one 250 S/E halide over a 55. Any thoughts? Would a fan on the bulb keep the center brace from melting?

I had a 400 SE MH over a 75gal tank and the center brace was fine. Is your tank Glass or Acrylic?

all glass. I talkin like 8 inches directly over the center brace,fan cooled
