halides or T5's for frag tank

I am going to be in the process of setting up a new 4'x2'x1' frag tank next week. I am considering going with 2x250 halides or 6x54 t5's. I don't want to compromise or color or growth. Which would you use and why? Even better have you tried both and what were the results? thx!

I have always had good luck with halides.

I am using one 175w MH pendant on my 30x18x12. I've heard it's better to use MH for frag if you want fast good growth.

what bulb are you using and how long have you had it setup?
