I have a serious overgrowth of Halimeda and was thinking I would sale and or trade bunches of it.

What percautions do I need to make to ship it?

Bag it wiht water, do I have to worrie about tempature like coral or fish? Will it bo ok with some sort of insulator in a small box? How fast does it need to go? 2 days ok, or does it need to be overnight?

Thanks,

Two to three days is fine, temperature is a factor if it is going to dip below freezing. Chilling our plants is typically okay, frozen plant tissue is not. :) If you have to ship in freezing weather I would give it a heat pack, the insulation you mentioned and space the algae with some packing inbetween it and the heat source.. just as you might for fish. Otherwise.. double bagged, enough water to cover the plant fully and you should be good to go.
