What is so wrong with halogen fixtures that a 14000k bulb cant be made and have cheap lights that have a million fixture options and can get at every hardhare store. Is there some harmful output or it just has not been done before

Halogens are incandescent, just like normal light bulbs only halogens are a little more efficient. They convert less than 20 percent of their input into light (almost all of the rest is wasted as heat).
