I bought a used hamilton reefstar 400w de with 14k bulbs. It is time for me to change out the bulb as it is getting old. I don't know what color temperature I should go with. Hamilton is the only one that makes 400w dual ended bulb so I'm pretty much stuck with them. They have 10k, 14k, and 20k. At this time, I am looking for sps growth. I was thinking of going with the 20k and my question is can I get sps growth with the 20k bulb? Or should I go with the 10k?

SPS will grow under any of those bulbs, it comes down to color choice for you. If you are happy with the 14K stick with it, it is a nice balance of blue and white, you may find the 10 too yellow or the 20k too blue. There is no way anyone can tell you which you will like better, color is a personal thing.
