I greatly appreciate the help I have gotten previously, and all other fish in the quarantine are doing well and show no sign of illness except my hamlet.
1. How old is this aquarium? ~5 weeks old, set up as emergency quarantine, 57g tank
2. If less than six months old, what is ammonia level? 0.02 ppm, am going to do water change later today.
3. What is SG of this aquarium? How measured? 1.025 refractometer
4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium? All fish (2 tangs, 2 clownfish, marine betta, indigo hamlet, flame hawkfish) were added at the same time. About a week ago these fish completed 21 days of NLS Ick Shield. 3 days ago I added Prazipro but do not see improvement in the hamlet.
5. Was it quarantined? If so, how? And how long? Was it prophylactically treated? How? N/A, system is a quarantine.
6. If you are using a copper based medication, which one? How often do you measure level? When? Not using copper.
7. If you are using hyposalinity, how did you calibrate your refractometer? N/A
8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color?
The hamlet's pectoral fins are opaque and seem clamped (like he can't fully extend them like he should be able to). Also there is some thickness and opaqueness on the edge of his caudal fin as well his dorsal fin. His waste is white, not stringy though. The attached images are the best I could get to showing his fins as he was really not appreciating me taking pictures this morning. He has no spots, film or lumps.
9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish? Fish is more skittish than normal, acting stressed and not eating well. He is hiding by one side or the other of the center overflow most of the time and towards the top of the aquarium too. All other fish in the quarantine are acting and eating normally. I have seen him chased by one of the tangs.
10. Is the fish eating? What? I think he is eating some krill, but he is not the big eater he used to be. He usually is a huge fan of krill that I soak in Selcon but is also offered mysis and spirulina brine shimp.
