hammer,brain not looking to hot

So my green hammer coral I've had for 2-3 month just didn't open like it had before. I looks like the lights go off and it closes but never puffs back up. So I checked the water had a small amount of ammonia, nitrates and phosphates, did a 10g water change out of the 55g the corals are in. It's been two weeks I have no ammonia, nitrates or phosphates. but my hammer and brain still look the same. The hammer had three healthy heads now it has two heads that looks like the lights are off and one has completely lost its tentacles and just has a tiny amount of flesh left. My calcium is 415, magnesium is 1280, KH of 12.5. my lights are Orbit USA 46w led actinic lights. What boggles me is nothing has changed in the tank no new fish, coral or inverts.

IMO, your Alk is high, I would bring it down to 8-9. Also what type of flow do you have on them, they don't like too much flow.

The ammonia is probably what made it unhappy. Ammonia is toxic. There shouldn't be any in a cycled tank.

I second dropping your alk (slowly!).
