i just started vertex pro bio pellets and i have a bacteria outbreak in my tank (the water is cloudy) will this harm my branching hammer? it hasnt been looking to good since i started with the pellets. Also its under vertex illumina lighting, i just started up this tank its my first running LED's so im not sure on how much light it needs im at about 50%

As far as the outbreak goes, I'd just keep your skimmate wet and it will clear up in a few days. The hammer should be fine until it clears up. If you feel the hammer might have needed more light to begin with you could turn it up a little, but personally I would leave it until your bloom is over. Hamme. Coral is actually an LPS though.

You might want to add an air stone as these blooms have a tendency to decrease the oxygen levels in your tank. This is a bacteria bloom which will clear up in a few days at which time remove the stone. This happened to me and not knowing at the time about the oxygen depletion I lost my large Sailfin Tank and had a Hawkfish that wasn't looking good either but it pulled through. I did some reading on this and it was recommended to put an air stone in during the bloom. Just a little FYI
