Hammer coral

My purple/green hammer has a large bubble membrane in the middle which you can see as the arms wave about. Is this normal? Otherwise it appears healthy.

It could be it's fix'n to divide. some LPS seem to withdrae and others swell when propagating new heads. I'd just leave it alone if it is otherwise healthy and happy and wait to see what happens.

Also if you want more response you may want to move this to the LPS thread as you are in the soft cotral section.

Yes this is normal, my hammer did this about 4 months back for the first time and had a bubble over its mouth for about 3 weeks then it split into 2 heads
