hammer growth

i have had a frogspawn for two months and seen healthy growth and i was wondering what to expect from my new hammer. i was told it will grow very slowly. can anyone tell me about some of their experiences with hammer coral. thanks

If the frogspawn has good growth than typically the hammer should too. Just try to match the height and flow of the frogspawn. I have a frogspawn, hammer, and torch all in the same tank. All 3 are growing at an alarming rate.

I have a branching hammer that's put on several new heads in the year that I've had it. Your mileage may vary ;)
FWIW, these corals are usually classed as LPS in the hobby, not Soft Corals, because they have a stony base -- of course a lot of hobbyists keep softies and LPS together because many of these species have similar care requirements.

I also think that hammers and frogspawns can be suitated near each other... i have some of mine touch and i dont see any evidence of stinging

my hammy coral seems to grow alot faster than my frogspawns. the hammer coral is much more touchy though and isnt as open nearly as much as the frogspawns. my frogspawns eat while my hammer refuses food.
