i was in hawaii and i was at a spot where it was like tide pools at low tide and you could grab tangs and butterflys with your hands in like almost puddles of water. it was amazing...

It's so much better to catch it by net than the common practice that they use in PI using cyanide . The coral will likely have less damage than the cyanide poisoning!

I have hand caught fish in Hawaii with a hand net. It's not hard, but takes time. Potters Angels are VERY hard

This is something im for sure doing next time I go back to Hawaii... Im going to locate a barrier net on the web and start planning to catch a few fish I have on my list that I dont want to pay top dollar for and find out where I have the best chance of locating these species, not everyone can say they have fish in their tank that they have hand caught... well... I have a fish in my tank right now that I hand caught.... forgot about that one haha

The license is free with the DAR of hawaii. As long as it's for home aquarium use. You just go on the website and get one. They mail it to you and it's good for one year.
