hanging lights

So I bought a 22" light fixture and have a 40b tank. How does everyone suggest I hang it over the tank. Its an older current usa light that doesnt seem to be sold anymore but I can still find bulbs. There does not seem to be any holes except for the vent holes on the side.

Is it the one with the expandable wire legs? If so I got some of the decorative chain and simply fed the the legs through the chain holes. It will take a bit of messing around to achieve the height you want and for it to be level and plumb.

I built this to get my t5 higher off the acans. bought some steel box tubing from homedepot welded it and painted it, cost me 30 buck all and all

That was my initial thought. But I don't know where I can get a welder to be able to this.
