hanna calcium checker

I recently bought a hanna checker for alk and calcium the calcium one is a bit confusing. I have watched a video or two and still have some questions. the video put out by hanna said fill the syringe all the way up to the 0 mark. on mine the last mark labled is 0,1 so do u need to go to the top dash above that? also a local reefer uses a special bottle of ro water from hanna. Is that important for an accurate reading?

Hanna has a support forum here, and an RC member came up with an easier or more accurate way to use the calcium checker. Last couple pages of thread.....

I saw ppl talking about getting a different surenge but im assuming the same porblem will come in to play with me as far as not knowing if the line that reads 1,0 is the line or the one above it that says nothing in the hanna video she said its "very important to add exactly 1 ml of reagent so u wanna make sure u use the tips and fill the line all the way to the zero mark"
