Happy Resurrection Day!

This year's Resurrection Day (Easter) snuck up on me.. maybe because it is normally mid April, maybe because its not as marketed as Christmas.. I don't know. But I do know, for Christians, it's the most important act we can celebrate! 33% of the Gospels speak of passion week.. the time of crucifiction and resurrection! The resurrection is the centrality of the Christian faith!

This is the time for remembrance of what Christ did for us!

We had a great Easter. Our pastor always seems to pull out the least expected thing from a passage. "The most important things in Luke are what it doesn't say" I never would have thought of that but once he explained it, it made perfect sense.

Anyway I learned the other day why Easter snuck up on us this year, I never knew this but its interesting.

Easter falls on the Sunday of the first full moon after the first day of spring. Last Thrusday was the first day of Spring and this weekend was the full moon so there you go. It has not been this early sinse 1818 (I think) and won't be again for 220 years.
