Hard Line my Skimmer Help Stabilizing

So I have hard lined my skimmer directly to the overflow with a 1/2 inch Valve on the incomming and a valve for the remainding water that comes down the 3/4 inch overflow pipe.

The problem I'm having is stabalizing the bubble chamber inside the skimmer. It continually goes up and down kind of like the odd big bubble is comming thru I'm not really sure.

Anyone have this problem or have an idea to stablize the skimmer?

I'm running a RPS-1000

You have a valve on the line where the water goes into the skimmer? If you close that a bit (make sure the one ofr the rest of your drain is wide open), that should help.

Give it a try. The thought process here is that you may get a more stable flow by restricting the line some. Did you measure how much water is going through? Anyway, a bit of restriction should improve the stability of the input, though that may not entirely solve your problem.

I did this with my recirc skimmer but there was no way in the world I could get it to be consistent. I would restrict it a bit to get the bubbles out of the line but it wasnt giving me enough water so I would open it up but the bubbles came back...My solution was a MJ 1200

I had the MJ on before this big change oops however turning it down is starting to work a bit better then before.

I just figured I would get a better injection of the really dirty water directly to the skimmer.
