Harlequin Shrimp/Sea Cucumber

Will harlequin shrimp eat a sea cucumber, I have a mated pair, and I also have two cucumbers, they dont ever mess with one of the cukes, but i added a pink cuke yesterday and when i came home tonight the male harlequin was riding on his back, tried to watch, didnt really act like he was doing anythign other then sitting there, i scared him off of him and he got off its back and then came back. Just dont want them to mess with the cukes, and freak them out in the tank.

Harlequins are funny, I have 2 myself and one is always doing crazy stuff like cliff hanging on the bottom side of my LR or swimming way high up in the tank and gripping some coraline near the very top just to hang out there. I've even watched him try and spook off fish by lunging at them. I doubt it was doing anything but hitching a ride or mistook the cucumber for a rock.

Harlequins only eat starfish. Normally they would not "hitch a ride" but Emperor Shrimp will.

So it looks like all is well, my mated pair of harlequins, have been under a rock with one of my cukes for several days now, and other then the occasional back riding, they seem to all be getting along quite well in their shared cave.
