harlequin tusk in a reef

My large 6" aussy never bothered a thing in my reef tank besides my helfrichi firefish which became a meal. Never touched my clams, corals, snails, shrimp, hermits, or anything else.

There is always an exception to everything in this hobby; keeps us on our toes. Any of my HT's would have all of those inverts eaten in 10 mins.

I would highly recommend this fish if you don't have shrimp. I have a Philippine Tusk and the color is still really nice. The fish is very active but not aggressive at all. In fact I always make an extra effort to get it food as the other fish are so much more aggressive.

I don't have shrimp but he has never touched anything else in my tank. Great fish in my opinion!

Shrimp aren't a gamble; they're a sure meal. Small fish are a gamble. My largest tusk will gladly eat any fish under 2" or so and bigger ones if they're thin.

True

Hopefully he will never have to!
My HT superfat and eats 6 times a day a mixed of
Pellets and large mysis hopefully it will never be hungry enough to eat the guys that are cleaning him.
