Harlequin Tusk info

I have read that Harlequin Tusks should be added after small fish to prevent nipping on smaller fish but I was wondering if the Harlequin Tusk should be added last after tanks and angels or would it be fairly safe to add angels and tangs after the Tusk?

Ive added tangs and angels after the HT and theyve been fine. Ive also added fish like anthias after the HT and he ate them.

Tusk was one of the first 2 fish I added to my tank. Everything I added after that was about the same size; tang, angel, puffer, triggers. He doesn't nip at anyone.

Wow, that's a first I heard of a Tusk eating another fish. Learn something new everyday in this hobby. Anyway, I would add the Tusk in before Tangs and Angels. IME, it took awhile for my Tusk to get acclimate. Was very shy, only coming out to eat. I decided to get rid of him because I loved my crabs and snails more. LOL.

Wow.. that's interesting.. did it eat anything that was in the tank before it??

No,just the Anthias. It was quite traumatic for my wife since Anthias are here favorite fish. Not to mention we put 6 of them in there at 30 bucks each, was a very expensive meal. lolz

I would add the tusk before other large, semi aggressive fish. They are relatively shy when first introduced. I've heard numerous stories of them eating smaller, torpedo shaped fish like anthias.

Anyone experience them with clownfish? They are the only small fish I will be really upset if it eats. The damsels and chromis are cool and all but I wont be distraught over losing.

I had clownfish in the tank when I added the HT. They were fine.
