Harlequin Tusk Show off

You keep the picture on New Jersey Reef Club. Most of us are not a member and cannot access it. Why not load the picture on RC. Then everybody can see it.
In order for the picture to show it must be accessible by everybody who read the forum

Here is my torpedo this AM. Just a phone pict so it is not the greatest but you can see that he is fat and really color up. Did not get a whole lot longer but much bulkier. Not bad for a 4 inches IP Tusk

Nice pics... I don't think I've ever tried my phone on my FOWLR.... I'll have to give it a try.

All of his tusks grew back. It took several months. He still young, only almost 4 inches. His Tusks are not blue yet. I am very happy with the coloration, even if he is an Indo Pacific Tusk, not Australia.

So no problems with coral on this fish?

Also i am running a bare bottom tank.

Naso tang about 6"

Pink tail trigger about 6"

Yellow tang about 5"

Its a 5' long 180 gallon tank. I have always loved this fish my LFS has them in all the time not sure which version though. Just want to see your thoughts of adding one to my setup?

Isn't a 180 gal is a 6X2X2 tank?
The Naso will get much bigger.
The Harlequin Tusk will move smaller pieces of rock to look for snails under it. In my tank, anything less than 2 inches and not attach get to move daily. No problem for the corals otherwise.

Pic mine that I just got rid of. My kids called him fangs.
Why did you get rid of him. He is a beauty. Did he turn your tank upside down looking for food?
I feed mine chunks of shrimp, fish or squid and he is fine, otherwise he is turning small rock and rubble to look for snails. Mine ate my cleaner shrimps.
Yours does not seem to have the gut that mine have.

I didn't have a large enough tank for him. I got him from a friend who had a much larger tank. He wanted him out because he was eating his clean up crew and bullying his fish.

Mine has left my cleaner shrimp alone, although between him and my niger trigger they mightve claimed a couple snails.
