harlequin tusk with clowns

I have a pair of percale clown and im thinking of getting a tusk. I heard they may go for small fish but they aren't known for it, and all u should worry about are your inverts.

can i trust a tusk with perks? ive seen plenty of vids of them in reef tanks with smaller fish.

How much do you LOVE your clowns?

I work at a LFS and have had experience with many tusks that come through the store. Some demolish everything, some don't care. You wont know until you get your what personality it will have.

How big of a tank are the clowns in? I would say as long as its a decent sized tank, you get a small HT, and the clowns have some size to them you should be good. My small Tusk doesn't show any interest in the small big eye I put in there. The hermit crabs are a different story, he hasn't gotten any yet but he has an interest in em.

I have small fish (including clowns, chromis, wrasse, and goby) in with my 7 in HT and there have never been any issues.

If you get a small one you should be fine. Mine is about 5 or 6" and he is in with firefish, a dottyback, and a goby for the small guys, no issue. This is a qt and these fish are going separate tanks for long term.

I wouldn't! mine will eat anything small enough that fits in its mouth.
