Does anyone harvest thier own Brine Shrimp or have any experince in doing so? I was doing a bit of reading on it and it sounds like it might be benefical.

Thanks!

I was just wondering if it was truely simple and worthwhile I suppose. I am intending on getting a Mandarin when my new tank matures and it seems like that might be something that will eat.

They usually will take it. Hatching is easy. You might want to consider enrichments to increase their nutritional profile. Selco works well, but enrichment can be as simple as crushing a high quality flake food and feeding them the powder. Keep in mind, they don't start feeding until 12 hours post hatching, and they should be fed for about 12 hours. Separate them and rinse them before starting feeding and re-suspend in new clean water. Also, don't feed the BBS to your fish every day, it can lead to fatty acid depositions in their liver.
