Has anyone bought from aquarium obsessed?

Has anyone here purchased a large tank from aquariumobsessed.com?

His prices are very good. For instance my local store wants $4200.00 for the same tank aquariumobsessed.com wants $1850.00-2900.00 depending on the type of glass we order.

My worst nightmare would be saving a little money and then losing everything in my reef because the tank breaks.

If you do not have feedbak on aquarium obsessed, do you know a good place to purchase a 300 gal tank? I did try to post this question in the large tank forum and no one had any suggestions.

I haven't ordered a tank from them, but I have ordered a whole slew of Aquatronica gear. Was very happy with their service, communication, etc.

If you do a search, you'll find some threads detailing some awful customer service, and links to other sites detailing some ... errr ... questionable practices including posting faked reviews from non-existant but extremely satisfied clients. Will has had an account or two closed here, in fact, for doing things like posting stuff from his business in the for sale forum using pseudonyms. It's interesting to see how well-travelled his IP address was, one year.

Most of these issues were from a year or two ago, and he seems to have cleaned up his act, but caveat emptor.

Quick edit: if you do go with him, make sure you get things like delivery dates in writing with penalties for late delivery.

I got great service from Aq Obsessesed on my Aquatronica gear. I have heard many good things about his Tanks, they are suppose to be top rate quality, the only thing, is that they do take time to make and "cure". So you need to be patient and also factor in a little delay time in case all does not go as planned.

same as most here. ordered aquatronica, was happy with service, never have seen their tanks. If you are not set on glass, I recommend James and envision acrylics.

I really want to stick with glass and want to have this new one made out of starphire glass. I did get a couple quotes and although the qoutes vary greatly in price, the starphire is approx $600 more. I think it will be well worth it to have crystal clear glass.

Any thought about startphire or were to buy a tank made out of starphire please post a message.

I am aware that I will have to wait approx 30 days after i order the tank to recieve it. The only reason i have not ordered it yet is because I am unsure of what company to order from? Any suggestions????

from what I have seen 3 tanks of his they are all really nice. however I would automatically add 3 months onto the delivery date they quote you. and be prepared for it to changfe numerous times Canadian customs, curing seem to always cause problems.......

I have no problem waiting as long as i know they have a good reputation. The last thing I want is a nightmare tank like the tanks described by customers who bought from glasscages.com

You should be happy with AO, even people who screamed about late delivery admitted that the Tank itself was first rate.
