You'd best ensure they are not both male, otherwise you'll be back to one.

2 females will coexist fine, as well a male and a female.

Pretty sure they are both females with white lips. That makes me feel better. I just jumped on the DD listing for a second one. By far my favorite fish and the one I have now is doing great (knock on wood)

Only pay mind to the anal fin; the surefire way to distinguish a male from female in the species.

As the females transition, the orange blotches in the anal fin connect and become a solid orange stripe.

Soooo it seems were in the clear still. When my new camera hits the market in a few weeks I'll finally be able to get some decent pictures up. IMO this is the most beautiful fish I have seen so far in my very short fish daddy career.

I'm hoping that conditions I carry are the success for this specific type of fish. Although the last one I bought was housed in K.C. private tank for months before they sold it. So it was acclimated very well. This one is just a random D.D. in and out specimen...knock on wood
