Has anyone had any experience with pyramid snails

breutus

Don't ask me, I'm wrong.
I am really hoping this is not what it looks like.

I have only seen these on the glass for about four months or so maybe longer. It's not often that I see one so I am assuming not a large population but that doesn't always mean that.
with that said I have only had clams in the tank for about two months and these were definitly in the tank long before there were clams ever in my tank. so I am hoping that right there means there definitly not Pyramid snails since they need a host, it's also odd that I see them crawling on the glass... So I am hoping they are baby cerith snails or something.

If they are pyramid snails will a lemon coris wrasse help and will it kill my cleaner shrimp, cerith snails and all of my collinista snails that come out at Night.

sorry the images aren't great it was hard to get it to focus on the glass

If they were pyramid snails you would find them on the clams, not the glass.

There are many different kinds of snails that look somewhat similar to pryamid snails that are generically referred to as "rice" snails and most of them are harmless.

Hi, did you ever figure out what type of snails these were? I have the exact same snails. I'm a little worried because I do have a nice squami clam in the aquarium. I inspected the clam and can't find any snails around it, but some confirmation would be awesome. Hoping not pyramid snails!!

Thanks!
