Has anyone had trouble with Mag-Drive pumps before?

Keith,

i clean all my pumps every 3-4 months in hot water and white viniger (Great Value from WalMart). I let them run for two hours and take apart and brush with a tooth brush.

As for "how do you know they are bad":

The things I can think of right off the bat are:

1- If they don't start every time, first try
2- If they make loud noises
3- If the flow has decreased

1 and 2 is usually what one notices the most, I would think?
