Has anyone heard of this salt?

Kenny,
Thanks. Yeah Alk and Mg could be a bit higher. But they seems comparable to the other brands in the price range, at least the ones I have tested.
So far I have only seen it at CustomAquatics. Hopefully more stores will carry it, especially if results are consistent. I think they are in San Diego? Does anyone know if they have a store front, or do will-call?

Yeah, even shipping from San Diego might be expensive, unless you are down there already.

Maybe I'll talk to Anthony and see if he'll be willing to carry some.

Oceanpure is from China as well. These salts might be comming from the same factory. The Oceanpure comes double bagged and I've tried a couple other new brands that looked the same once I opened the outer labeled bag. I have no idea how many salt grinders they have in China, maybe Tetra knows. ;)

FWIW I bought 50# of DI resin from Resin Depot and it also came from China. I still get my 400g per cartridge before the TDS hits 2 so it's pretty much the same stuff.

he's so lazy, I don't know what to do to get his butt out here.

SteveU,

If you weren't Chinese, I would take offense to that remark. :)

For your information, I only buy "Americans Made" corals and equipments. hahahahhaaa

Who says I am lazy? I am multi-tasking. Typing to you fools, eating my lunch and listening to music at the same time. How is that lazy?

I'm sticking with the Ocean Pure Pro. It has been working great and I haven't had to suppliment my Mg since switching. The OP regular is good too but a little low on Mg, but still great for FOWLR or softie tanks.

I also like that Ocean Pure provides batch numbers on their buckets. That way if you have a question or suddenly get an odd reading you can contact TAAM and they will give an analysis on the batch. I read a thread where someone was getting a lower reading on a batch, and the company took the remaining portion back and supplied a new bucket.

You are wrong. You should say that you bought the Indonesia coral :)

Better buy it quick... just might be your last chance. ;)

Absolutely no reason an imported salt mix can't be just as good and consistent as those we've been able to pick from in the past. Not sure that's saying much though.
