has anyone kept a trio of butterflies?

I would like to keep 3 raccoon butterflies in my 400g. I kept two of them together a few years back in a 300g with no issues. Bob Fenner thinks two will pair up and kill the other. Any input?

I don't comment on what Bob says, but he usually gives good fish advice. My guess would be that you would end up with only two.

I suspect fenner is correct. I can't really comment with experience with such a large tank, though. What you might want to do is cross-reference Fenner's "good" BF list with fishbase info on them. FB often lists if they are found singly, in pairs, or in groups. Choose pone that is at least sometimes found in groups. I don't know if racoon butterflies naturally form groups.
