has anyone noticed better or worse colors after using rowaphos??

My colors are great right now. Among many things I attribute that to is ROWAphos. I think because ROWAphos (or any GFO used properly) pulls out po4 before the bad guys get it, it helps to keep the tank clean and SPS to do well. I always wondered if just cuz you read zero on a high quality po4 kit - you could still have them, just that they're consumed quickly by undersirables. We add po4 with food, ca rx, etc every day.

That said, I am actually going to discontinue its use and try a zeolite program. Cuz if it ain't broken ... you can still tinker. ;-)

not to hi-jack this thread but I just have a question ...I am running phosban reactor with phosban media and doing some reading on this forum about ROWAPHOS.. do you think its better to to put ROWA media instead of Phosban?.....or it will just be the same?.. thanks

I believe Rowa has helped me (my sps) greatly! I have run it for 2 years now.. I stopped for short period - never again.. :)
One thing-- look for the source of the Phospate-- Makeup water?? even thought mine showed 0 on salivert test. I noticed improvement by adding a 2nd DI cartdridge..
btw, no need for fancy rowa reactor.. I just hand a bag in high flow area in slump.. (I do have rx but its much easier to bag)

i think i stripped my water too clean b/w rowa, water changes, and wet skimming.... now i feed more and do everything else the same and am happy.

point... be careful with rowa.. it is powerful stuff.... your nutrient level in your tank is a delicate balancing act.
