Has anyone tried peroxide dipping for tissue necrosis?

I picked up a decent sized piece of hammer coral today for a buck. It's 1/4 dead and has the nasty brown slime going on and recession of the "mantle" all the way around. I've heard a 1:10 peroxide:saltwater bath can cure this. Did a search on it and i'm coming up with bupkiss.

SOOOOO....i went ahead and did it. Did about 1:10 and dipped it with agitation for about 30 seconds, then rinsed in saltwater and placed in the tank with decent flow. Plan to repeat tomarrow and maybe again. Anyone ever tried this?

Nope, never heard or tried...

I use SeaChems Reef Dip when the store I work at gets hammers and other euphyllias in... Never had a loss from it, it always does the trick for me.
