I fell in love with a golden buterfly fish when I visited a lfs. But I am a little hesitant.
Has anyone try or attempt to have a golden buterfly in their reef tank?
My tank is predominatly zoas, lps, two acroporas, one crocea clam, and one montipora cap. But very heavy stock of zoas & lps.

If so, what were the result of the golden buterfly in the tank?

Many thanks

Are you talking about Chaetodon semilarvatus? Unlike their Angel cousins, which often geta bad rap, SPS and LPS are on the main menu for most Chaetodon species. Some are so indiscriminate as to take any cnidarians, others specific types. The Semilarvs incorporate more benthic organisms in their diet than the obligate corallivores, but they're still a huge risk. Chances are more likely that they'll consume corals or kill them through picking than that they won't. We've a pair in our 180 'fly tank.

There's someone on RC that had a pair in an SPS tank. As I recall they were OK, didn't cause too much trouble. But with LPS, zoa's and such, I'd be very hesitant.
