Has something got into my tangs gills? PLease help !!

In 24 hours, my purple tang has a big white patch on one side of his belly. there also seems to be a hole near the bottom of the patch, you can see this in the photo, just like after a zit has been popped from your face.
under attinics, i can see pale/white patches over his body.

can anyone tell me what might be wrong? has something crawled into his gills during the night? I do know i have bristle worms in my tank. i'm worried he might not last very long. He is still feeding like a pig.

all other fish look nice and healthy.

Marine ich? Looks like ich to me. But I e never had it In my reef I've just seen pics and dealt with it in freshwater. Research marine ich on google images.. If you have a quarantine tank it might be good to get him in there. Good luck.

I don't know what the what patch is. Fish will discolor when stressed badly and this fish sures looks like it has a case of ich. I'd read the ich stickies at the top of the disease forum and plan treatment----for all of your fish.
