Hasn't been in a fight

No my son wasn't in a fight. A seizure hitting the tile floor face first did the damage. Matthew's mom contacts me at 8 am saying he had a seizure 4 hours earlier and that there was a lot of blood. And that he had fallen back to sleep after the seizure. She said the cut might be deep enough to maybe need stitches. I asked why he wasn't in ER. I was also concerned that with the bump and cut on his forehead that there might be some trauma there. Well at 11:00 she finally took him to the ER 7 hours later. His seizures have been happening more often over the past year but now for the past month they are happening weekly. Added meds and a MRI next week. Hope it shows something but more than likely it won't.

Oh No! That sounds terrible. I have had one seizure and it was the most draining thing I have ever experienced. I cant imagine having them weekly. You and your son with be in my thoughts. I hope they can figure out the cause.

Thanks. Well two more seizures today and a trip to the ER for severe head aches and neck pain. Concerned it could possibly be from the fall a few days ago. Starting a new seizure medication this evening. This is 3 different meds he is on trying to control them. This is 3 this week he has had. And he is exhausted. Can't go to work when he is in this condition.

We feel for you Doug. I know it has been hard and it makes it worse when your ex isnt helping much. We hope they can get the siezures controlled quickly. She should have definately got him to the hospital quicker with that many stiches and the bumps and bruising he could have had a concusion.

Chris, you are right things could have be a lot different and things wouldn't have been as bad for him.
Lynn, he is having a better week so far and we will figure it all out.

Everyone thanks for concern. The MRI is tomorrow and so it may show something and if not at least a change in meds will be a good thing. I understand that changing meds up every few years gets the epelipsy back in check.
