like i said i have an empty 75 that i want to do something non reef fish only. thought i might try my hand at some seahorses. Few starting out questions. How much live rock would i need? I know that they can eat frozen foods but also rely on a good population of pods which in part is due to how much live rock you have. I dont' plan on any coral so regular flourscent would be used. What kind of flow in the tank? Maybe a small powerhead or two? What species would be good for that sized tank and how many could i have? I would like to have 4 if possible. I will also be running a 20g sump with skimmer for filtration. Any suggestions would be great.

A lot of people are using dead rock to avoid anything that might harm the horses. You can add some pods later but they aren't really necessary. You don't need much flow but you do want to make sure there are no dead spots. I don't really like powerheads because horses can sucked up to the intake. I would recommend southern erectus if you are planning on breeding them eventually since the fry are much easier to raise.
