Have I quarantined enough?

Hello all,

I currently have the following in my quarantine tank:

1x Flame Angel
1x Sailfin Tang
1x Clown Fish
1x Bicolor Dottyback
1x Orchid Dottyback


They have been in QT since November 28th. I am treating them with Cupramine in a reduced dosage because of the flame angel. It is currently at:

0.15~0.20 ppm


They all seem to be doing great. Are they ready to go in the display tank?

Im sure they are ready, but are you? If they have not shown any signs of disease after the stress of being in the QT, I would put them in. You dont have any other fish in there? You did not do the " tank transfer method" to rid them of ich? I may be mistakin by assuming that you are not trying to be anal about this. Enjoy them in your DT.

I always like to keep fish in QT for a an additional week or two after all meds have been removed just to be sure the meds weren't suppressing something.

+1 The fish should remain in Cupramine for a full 30 days then be observed for a week or two with no meds present

Agreed. It has been known that Cupramine has the potential to mask disease/parasites.
