Have Sebae anemones been bred in captivity?

Considering ideas for my new (not yet set up) 12g tank. One idea is a species tank, so i'm toying with setting it up for a Sebae and clowns. I really like the idea of having a tank that is ideal for breeding of the anemone. I probably would not be looking to breed the clowns because I don't want to set up a seperate tank for them, but if it happens we'll see.

So, basically, i'm trying to figure whether I want to do an anemone tank, and whether it sebaes in particular have been bred in captivity. And, if I aim for this, i'd like to know whether a 70w 14k halide is appropriate, or whether 150w is truly necessary. I would prefer to save on power and I don't really like the look of some of these insanely bright tanks so I am not sure whether 150w would be an eyesore.

thoughts, comments, helpful suggestions and experiences are welcomed.

Thanks,
Angela.

I don't think they have been bred in captivity, but there are several reports of spawning. You can check out some pics of a female sebae spawning in my gallery.

70w would probably be fine, but my sebae is bigger than your tank, so a 12g is probably not the best idea.

Amphiron, do you mind posting some pics of the mouth of yours? Mine has white striations on its mouth, and i'm curious to see if that has anything to do with sex.

I have no idea what sex mine is.

H. crispa and BTAs have been reportedly reproduced sexually in tanks, but only in specially set up systems for that purpose. There may be a problem with the sperm being too concentrated when the male and female are in the same tank.

Wow, well, I knew they could reach 1 foot diameter, but the FAQ here just recommended small/medium tank of minimum 10g and I figured if anything, the cube would be better.

So, they don't split like the Bubble Tip anemones, then? I don't want to just get something that I can't give back with, I guess I might just stick with buying someones tank split BTA.

Thanks,
Angela.

Rich, the only way I was able to tell was the thousands of eggs spewing from her mouth :D.
But seriously, I do not have a pic of her mouth. However, it does "pucker" up, swelling quite large.
