those are just tunicates/sponges

beneficial, not harmful (if I am looking at the correct "white balls"). The ones that almost look egg shaped ?

I've had tons of them break out in my tank in the last few weeks.
There are tons of them in the mini sump, and now alot are appearing in my main tank. Just simple filter feeders.

They look kinda cool.

There a sign indicative of low flow and high nutrients. Harmless themselves but a good sign to crank it up a notch if your seeing them out front in your display.

I don't know if they're necessarily a sign of low flow. I've had them grow inside skimmers and pump intakes.
