My zoos do the same thing whenever they get some food and I'm not spot feeding them. I've even seen them catch mysis and brine so I know they must be eating the cycolpeez too. May have to look into this product.

Nope.. it's not irritation. I guess you have to take my word for it. I use a pipette (very small syringe) and release it on the zoos. There is no air hitting the zoos to make them close up. I guarantee they are feeding off this. But, like I said .. it's only my word. hah.
That sucks. Four months strong and no algae problems. And to boot I have a 20g tank using conditioned tap water, I still haven't noticed anything. It's working for me at least... and I love it.
