i got this dimomd goby and hes soo cool but little problem he stirs up the sand so much it looks like i got fog in my tank idk im split weather to keep him or take him to aqua world im hopening he will just mix up the sand to were the light little stuff goes to the sump and settles but idk im split what do you guys/gals think

idk my dad is really ****ed about it and its just not a lil its to were you can berly see idk do you have a email got a question for you that doesnt concern this site

If it is really bad than get rid of him. There are other ways to get the sand stirred up such as Nassarius Snails or Sand Sifting Stars.

Matt - as it was my goby this is an easy diagnosis :-) he's cleaning the crap out of your sand bed! he'll settle out in a few days, possibly a week since it's a 75g and he previously lived in a 24g but no worries - once he gets the sand the way he likes it (don't fight him on it cuz he'll continue to make a mess) he'll just do minimal sifting when necessary

i wish i still had my gobie. at first he did make a mess but did calm down after a week or so. it jumped out of my tank thats why i don't have it any more, but i do miss it i loved to watch it filter the sand

your tank is fairly new too i believe.. that could be a problem... over time as your sand matures it will kinda stick together so it should cause less of a mess... the fish should calm down in a week or so though

ok im hoping lol hes so fun to watch but its just a streess thing to see that sand idk im ocd when it comes to my tank lol but he adds a real reef felling to the tank i got all these new fish that are bright and all around the middle and top and he adds movement to the botom reall nice looken fish to got good markings and has real bright ornage never seen one that bright

Jeff made a good point... If you are looking for optimum sand sifting, nassarius snails do one hell of a job at that. Some think they do too good of a job, but I'm not sure if you'll need more than a few along with the diamond goby.

ok im goin to leave the goby alone hes found a good home under my big rock hes moved all the sand i think he will for now but im hopen this will settel down i have faith in you guys

o no lol i caught him lol had him in a net for about a hour in the tank now hes back in he actuly fairly easy to catch lol bait the net and wait its deep sea fishing without the price or the deep sea lol

Maybe you can try that with my darned tomato clown. She seems to know every time a net hits the water that I want her, and she never comes out of the anenome long enough for me to catch her. She's gotta go, the mated pair I just got from keriann needs to leave the frag tank and end up in the display, but I just can't catch her, and adding the pair would be a fiasco for one or two of the 3 clowns, and I can't allow that to happen.

just set your net in the tank with the food she likes to eat let it sit all day if you have to to get her comfortable with it she will go for the food its only in there nature but make sure you watch the tank basicly the whole time you have the net in the tank you might only get one chance at it but then just go easy over the the tank but dont be affreid to rip the hell outa the net to make sure u get her there quick try baiting your net and leting it sit
