HI I have noticed my skimmer has really slowed down over the past week or so I have also developed this stringy brown algae that contains bubbles, it kind of resembles Cyano but its a light brown and not red.

What could cause my skimmer to not work? All is functioning properly, cleaned and everything?

I thing the brown algae type stuff is dionflatuants "SP". Any particular cause for this?

Water samples have been tested at multiple locations and checked out great.

RO reads 10ppm.
Phates 0
trates 0

I even ran a poly filter for 4 days for kick and giggles, no color change to indicate a problem.

All SPS are doing great, yet my xenia and zooanthids seem to be suffering....

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Also my T5 bulbs are 12 months old could this be a factor?

yes

also how clean is the skimmer?
what kind is it?
could the air intake be clogged a little on the skimmer?
that will reduce production the most.

Is it just on your Zoos and xenia? There is a disease called brown jelly that zoos can get. I have had a case of it before check the zoanthid forum for pics of it.

Make sure your skimmer is producing bubbles like normal (make sure air intake isn't clogged) and that the skimmer neck is clean. Have you been putting your hands in tha tank alot? Body oil can kill production for awhile.
