Having trouble identifying this

Hi everyone. My wife and I are having some trouble IDing the algae that's trying to take over our tank. Initially we thought it was Caulerpa Prolifera but are doubting it now after viewing more photos. The leaves are soft, slightly slimy and the runner is quite brittle and easily snapped, with whitish roots. If anyone knows what it is, please let me know, and if you know anything that eats it 9that would fit into a 23 gallon tank without eating everything else in the tank) I'd appreciate the info. Thanks.

Its prob a type of Caulerpa . Not sure. Maybe you can make seaweed salad

I think that's a caulerpa that's closely related to prolifera. I can't remember the name.
