I'm going to Kona in May. I've got a Nikon D90 as well as a Canon A720IS with underwater housing. I plan on doing a lot of snorkeling as well as some hiking. I'll have a rental car. My dilemma is what to do with my SLR while I'm snorkeling. I know that car break-ins are common at many popular Hawaii tourist destinations, so I don't want to leave it in my car. What can I do? I believe there are waterproof camera bags, but I'm not sure how reliable they are. Buying a housing for the D90 would be great, if only they didn't cost $1500+.
